Dev Update #1 – Welcome to Forgotten Tales Entertainment!
Hello, world!
After nearly a year and a half of relentless work on this project, I’m finally taking the plunge and talking about it thanks to some wise friends who reminded me that games aren’t meant to be discussed after they’re released. That said, I’ll be honest: I haven’t had many opportunities to share my progress until now, so bear with me if things feel a little rough at first.
But hey, here we are! The website is officially live. It’s nothing groundbreaking at this stage, but everything has to start somewhere. I’ll be expanding and improving it as development progresses.
You can now learn more about the studio and the game and check out a few screenshots showcasing the current state of development.
# What’s in the Screenshots?
The images I’m sharing today are meant to give a glimpse of the game’s visual style, rather than its core mechanics though those are already up and running. Combat, magic, trading, quests and exploration are all functional.
For now, my main focus is on polishing the basics:
Improving the HUD and removing the infamous white bar,
Adding NPCs to towns and villages that are already built,
Continuing to expand the world itself.
# March Roadmap
I’ll be trying to set myself a monthly roadmap, though let’s be honest, I probably won’t stick to it. But at the very least, I’ll be posting development updates here every month to keep track of progress.
For March, my key objectives are:
- Finalizing the HUD and removing the placeholder elements.
- Fully completing three cities (Pheria, Ephidray & Lysance) and starting work on a fourth.
- Creating new armor sets & outfits to expand equipment variety.
That should keep me busy for a while!
# Stay Connected
If you want to follow the project more closely, be sure to follow my social media, I’ll likely be posting updates there more frequently than what i’ll do here.
Thanks for being here from the very beginning, this is just the start of this incredible journey!
